Ransom (1996) - One of the best kidnapping movies . A classic DVD you must have in your collection.

Review: One of the best 90’s classics that half the planet owns on DVD! This is definitely one of those films that grabs a hold of you and does not seem to want to let go. Ron Howard’s excellent direction and Mel Gibson giving another outstanding performance make this film worth your time. Those of us who have children, although many of us may not have the courage to push the limits as Gibson’s character did here, may appreciate this movie. It isn’t always that simple to make a movie that lasts in time combining thriller and action elements. It’s also one of a few times that we saw the kidnapper’s intentions among their daily actions. Lastly, let’s all admit and not fool ourselves that we loved the duo, Rene Russo & Mel Gibson, again after their first couple appearance in Lethal Weapon movies!
