So what about the plot of the new season? What we should expect?
Some changes have set at new episodes, as the series affected, from the sad passing of Helen McCory (Polly Gray) on April 21, following a private battle with cancer.
In season five (early 30’s) the world haunted into the enormous waves of racism, nationalism and fascism and as the creator, Steven Knight said to NME “I just want to explore the appeal of these simple ideas of nationalism that Mosley represented. That’s why we got Sam Claflin because we wanted someone who was really appealing and really attractive”.
“In series six, we’ll be looking at 1934 and things are worse. The drumbeat is getting louder, tensions are worse and Tommy is right in the middle of all that. Again, it will be an exploration of what was going on in the ‘30s and how certain things transpired.”
Knight has been very vocal about how he expects there to be a total of seven series, ending with the redemption of Tommy at the second world war.
In the new episodes, Tommy comes up against Sir Oswald Mosley (Sam Clafin), for something that is renowned as the best season of all.
The premiere of Season 6 is on the 27th of February on BBC, so we’ll wait until the mid-April on Netflix platform.
