Review: This is a fantasy movie about a historic event that talks about liberties. However, for me, it was about honor above all else. I was not only entertained but gained a sense of pride in the storytelling. Keanu Reeves manages to pull it through again and deliver a different emotion, a different story for all history and fantasy junkies. The element of mythology was delivered nicely and the movie felt ”Japanese”. It’s hard to find that many entertaining samurai films with good story and action. 47 Ronin (2013) should definitely be on your list despite all negative reviews.
